COMPETITION VISITOR'S GUIDE
Right before the start of the 18th LEN European Championships all ticket holders and the general public will find some important information right here. We kindly ask all attendants to carefully read through this information given here to avoid any unexpected and unwelcome surprises, so that the focus may remain on the sport
The new Wingate TOTO swimming pool over viewing the Mediterranean sea from the top of a cliff is one of the fastest pools in Europe ensuring an exciting event. Don’t miss all the action.
ADMISSION AND COMPETITION TIMES
Admittance into the venue: 60 minutes before the start of each preliminary session (heats) and 2 hours before the start of each finals session.
Please note, that the competition venue will be cleared 60 minutes after the heats and after the finals respectively.

Please note, that times for admission and competition may change at a short notice. Security checks might be in place. We therefore recommend to plan an early arrival at the venue.

WARM-UP PROGRAM
Besides the top performances expected from of the European swimmers and an unique atmosphere the competition site offers, one hour before the finals, a varied program taking place directly on the pool deck.
DIRECTIONS
IMPORTANT: Please note that there is one entrance to the Wingate complex that can be congested especially in rush hours between 07:30 to 09:30. Plan early arrivals. Arrivals with private cars will be required to pay parking fees before leaving Wingate. Pay booth is available before the Exit. Parking will be available at the south end of Wingate. Follow the signs for Parking. We will have Shuttle busses around Wingate to allow transportation from parking areas to the main venue (about 1 Km).
TICKETING
Tickets can booked online until one day prior to the respective event (additional fees might apply). Information about tickets and discounts are available here.
The box offices at the top entrance of the main competition pool have the following opening hours:

Tickets will be checked at the entry of the venue. If you wish to leave during the session and want to return at a later stage, please make sure to have your ticket scanned when leaving the venue. Re-entry will only be allowed with previously scanned tickets.
ADDITIONAL ADVICE
Please note, that terms and conditions as well as potential security checks might apply for admission into the venue. Due to security reasons, specific items are not allowed at the venue : Sharp objects and Glass bottles.
VENUES
The Wingate Institute, Israel's National Centre for Physical Education and Sport, was inaugurated in 1957 and is named in honor of Major General Orde Charles Wingate “The Friend”.
The State of Israel concentrates at the Institute the educational, professional and scientific resources for the development of physical education, "sport for all", and elite sport and sport as a means of social and physical rehabilitation.
Some 5000 academics, coaches, athletes, students and the general public - both native-born Israeli and new immigrants - pass daily through Wingate's gates. The Institute serves as a training centre for national teams, the Olympic Squad and hosts international sport science conferences.
The main venue includes the main competition swimming pool which is 50 meter pool , 3 meters deep that was built in 2011. The North side of the pool will be covered with a large grand stand to host the spectators of the competition. Close by is the 25m training pool and the large team and massage area.
